Introducing Alias! A platonic matching app that is designed to reverse the standardized system paved by apps like Tinder or Bumble.
Through Alias, the profiles you see are description focused and you decide to swipe left or right depending on if you have matching interests or not. Instead of using real names, profiles use usernames (their Alias!) and custom profile pictures.
Information on peoples profiles are categorized by levels. The higher the level, the more specific the information. Level 1 can be viewed by anyone who comes across your profile, it will determine which direction they swipe.
The higher levels, 2 & 3, are obtained after matching and talking with your match.
Once matched, you can now chat! Alias incentivizes talking with your match by granting access to the higher levels of information once enough exchanges occurred.
